A Simple Guide To Buying A Quality Mountain Bike
A Simple Guide To Buying A Quality Mountain Bike
Many people these days are pursuing healthier, more active lifestyles. These people are discovering the benefits of having a strong fit body. One of the ways people are choosing to exercise is bike riding. On-road or off, bicycling is a great way to have some fun and get into better shape.
The fastest growing segment of the bicycle market is that of the mountain bike. Mountain bikes are multi-geared bicycles designed specifically for trails and any other non-paved surface. Even if you don’t plan on doing much trail riding, you’ll appreciate the mountain bike’s design next time your speed over a pothole or surmount a curb.
When shopping for a mountain bike you’ll encounter a wealth of options. It can be a little overwhelming but we’ll break it down for you to make your decision easier. First of all, you need to determine your budget. How much are you willing to spend? Everything starts here. You should budget as much as you possibly can because costlier bikes perform better than cheaper ones.
When it comes to mountain bikes, it’s not just a name you’re buying. Higher priced mountain bikes really are worth it in the long run. They’re lighter, stronger, more comfortable, more reliable, and have more features than a cheap bike. Related to cost is where you’re going to buy the bike. We recommend purchasing your bike from a bike store as opposed to one of those “big box” retailers. The employees at your local bike shop will be far more knowledgeable about their products than the people at those sprawling, impersonal cathedrals of capitalism. A bike from a local bike shop might cost more but your overall experience will be significantly better.
After deciding how much you want to spend, you need to figure out what features are important to you. This is where things can get a little confusing and where you’ll find the added value in patronizing a local bike shop where all these details can be explained and elaborated upon.
Many mountain bikes today feature full suspensions. This means that both the front and rear wheels are cushioned with some sort of system which will give you added comfort and control when negotiating tricky terrain. Of course, this adds to the price of the bike. Many bikes are made with just a front suspension. This cuts down on cost and is quite suitable for most riders. You can get a mountain bike without any sort of suspension. The choice is yours.
Try out all different sorts of bikes and see which one you like best. Again, listen to the advice you get from the pros at the shop, and do some research online. There’s a wealth of helpful information on mountain bikes available on the web. Mountain bike magazines are also an excellent resource. Of course, there are many other things to consider when purchasing a mountain bike, but for the beginner, it’s best to just narrow it down to how much you want to spend and what kind of suspension you’re going to want.
Remember to test-ride any bike you’re thinking about buying because the feel of the bike is all-important. Read reviews and heed the advice of experts. In no time you’ll be cruising through the woods and getting into great shape.

Rambo went on a camping trip. He loved it! He got to sleep inside a tent and hang out at the beach. He got lots of attention from the Ladies!!! Camping can be very DANGEROUS for your rabbit. I highly recommend that you DON’T take your bunny camping. Rambo went to a predator free campsite (no hawks, owls, wolves, dogs, eagles, bears etc.). Bunnies are prey animals and they are not comfortable in new environments. However, Rambo is a one of a kind bunny. He loves being outdoors and traveling. I took him everywhere during the trip and spent the entire time taking care of him (With the help of my friends). He slept inside a four person tent with a playpen set up exactly like he has at home. I slept beside him. He drove me nuts playing with his willow ball-bell early in the morning. PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL. The outdoors can be very dangerous for a house bun.

Top 4 Camping Tents to die for
Top 4 Camping Tents to die for
If you want to achieve a successful camping treat, you need to be prepared at all times. Being prepared means you must be equipped with the right camping equipment before you set out and start your excursion. There are many kinds of camping gear that are at hand. When it comes to tents for camping, only four emerge as the most dominant types. To have a vivid picture of each type, you need to understand the following tips and suggestions:
Large Camping Tent
Compared to the ordinary tent, this type of tent is huge, voluminous and commodious. In fact, there are large camping tents which include several rooms for additional privacy. If you want a large tent, it is highly recommended to choose the one which is both tall and huge enough to provide some space for a bed. This is a good option since it gives you both comfort and roominess. Another advantage of this tent is the fact that it gives protection against harmful elements that may crop up especially if you are camping with your kids.
Backpacking Tent
This type of tent usually has lightweight design which makes it very light and handy to use. If you are planning to buy a backpacking tent, it is ideal to choose the one which has many meshes. Why is it ideal? This is for the reason that the mesh offers excellent air flow in the tent. Also, the tent becomes lighter when there is more mesh. It would be better if you choose a free standing backpacking tent because it is easy to set up and very flexible.
Four Season Tent
This tent is the perfect tent to use when you go camping during the winter season. Sometimes it is called as winter camping tent. What makes this tent different from the other camping tents is its overall structure, which is specifically designed to cast snow. Compared to the three season tent, it is able to get rid of the snow on the sides of the tent. This keeps the tent from bending over caused by the heaviness of snow. Another great advantage of this tent is that it is covered with wide and bulky walls. This thickness is very important because it offers utmost insulation against the cold and wintry weather. Aside from that, the four season tent is also very durable in the sense that it can endure the harshness of freezing wind as well as temperature.
Outfitter Tent
This is the type of tent which is known to be very spacious and heavy. Most camping tents in this style offer enough heat while you are inside them. This is attributable to their unique feature which is the outfitter stove. This tent is very ideal to use. It is not only large and spacious but it also has a heater to make you feel warm and comfortable inside. But the problem with this kind of tent is that is time consuming to build and set up. So if you will be moving from one campsite to another, the outfitter tent is not a good choice. It would be more convenient if you make use of a lighter and handy tent.

Specialized Bike Accessories
Mountain biking veterans all agree on one thing. Getting specialized bike accessories is a significant step in ensuring maximum safety. There are several kinds of mountain bike accessories available in the market. Helmet is perhaps the most popular of them. You can also find water bottle and cage that can be fitted to the bike for placing the water bottle. If it can be fitted to the front panel, you can get the water when you need without much effort. Other essential accessories include a spare tube and a pump to fill air in the tube. The most advantageous aspect of these sorts of accessories is that having these accessories at ones disposal naturally lifts ones confidence.
