Camp & Ride Mountain Bikes at Lake Shasta
GOOGLE SATELITE IMAGE “Jones Valley Campground, Redding, CA”, and you will see a place to camp, and a great place to ride. Right out of the campground. Follow the satelite image of the bike trail and you will see an impressive ‘moderate’ ride. It might even loop back to the campground.? Even the paved road for cruisers out to the boat ramp is a VERY nice ride. From I-5, head out Oasis Road, which turns into Old Oregon Trail, to Bear Mnt Road. Follow Bear Mnt to the ‘Y’ at Jones Valley Road and head to the campground. Load supplies and gas in Redding. There is a small store at the corner of Hidden Valley Drive and Bear Mnt Rd. about a mile from the campground. No Starbucks for miles. This campground is clean and tidy. Temperatures in spring range from 40′s to lower 70′s. Fee is .00 per night and the season starts March 1st. Call forestry on reservations.? Silverthorn Resort is on the road left of the ‘Y’ some 5 miles or so. Check satelite image on Silverthorn Road. Bring toys! Happy Outdoor Living.

Where the trail ends… is the start of a new feature film based on the natural terrain progression of riding in remote international locations. Freeride is excited about their new project which started deep in the Gobi desert in China earlier this year.
